Christopher Meredith is the Director of Research & Portfolio Management and a Senior Portfolio Manager at O’Shaughnessy Asset Management, a firm that manages equity portfolios for clients through quantitative methods. Chris is responsible for managing all investment activities of the firm. This includes managing the portfolio management team, investment strategy research, and overseeing the firm’s trading efforts. The portfolio management team oversees over $5.5bn in assets for institutional and individual clients. For research, Chris leads a team of portfolio managers and analysts conducting research on new and existing strategies and evaluating the efficacy of new factors. Prior to joining the firm, Chris was a Senior Research Analyst on the Systematic Equity team at Bear Stearns Asset Management. He spent eight years as a technology professional and was a Director at Oracle Corporation before attending the Johnson School at Cornell University.

Chris is also a Visiting Lecturer at the Johnson School at Cornell, where he teaches Applied Portfolio Management. As a Designated Manager of the Cayuga Fund, a student-run long-only equity small cap fund, he teaches students through real-world investment experience and guides them as they start or enhance their careers in asset management.

Chris holds a B.A. in English from Colgate University, an M.B.A. from the Johnson School at Cornell University and an M.A. of Financial Mathematics from Columbia University. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst. In his limited spare time, he is an avid skier and an amateur sabermetrician. He lives in Chappaqua, New York with his wife and is the proud father of three children.
